About us

We’re María and Andrés. We’ve been teaching LA-style salsa at a studio in Valencia since 2012, and in 2026 we started filming our classes for people who can’t come in person.

The courses follow the same order as our classes: first the basic step and the music, then dancing with a partner, and finally patterns. Each lesson is a short video to watch, practise and come back to as often as you need.

  • María Soler

    Beginners and musicality

“I’ve taught salsa since 2012. I like to explain things slowly, counting out loud.”

  • Andrés Vidal

    Partner work and solo footwork

“I explain every pattern twice: once from the lead’s side and once from the follow’s.”

Reviews

Student reviews, collected by the academy.

  • “I’d never danced before. I went over the basic step lesson a few times, and now I go to classes in person without losing count.”

    Laura G.Salsa from scratch
  • “It helps that they explain each role separately. My partner and I work through one lesson every weekend.”

    Javier M.Partner patterns
  • “I use it to practise at home between classes. The solo steps have made me more relaxed when I dance on my own.”

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a partner?

Not to start with. You can follow “Salsa from scratch” and “Solo footwork” on your own. You’ll get more out of “Partner patterns” if you have someone to practise with.

Which course should I start with?

If you’ve never danced, start with “Salsa from scratch”. If you already take classes and want more patterns, go for “Partner patterns”. You can watch each course’s trailer before you buy.

Can I buy just part of a course?

Yes. Every course is sold whole, by module or as individual lessons. The whole course works out cheaper than buying its parts separately.

What can I watch for free?

Every course trailer can be watched without signing up. Lessons marked as free just need an account, which is also free.

Where do I watch what I buy?

Here on this website or in the ADLANTE app, on your phone or your computer. You log in with the same account on both.
